Greetings Redemption Fleet,

Well, the last vestiges of summer have been swept away, and we're moving quickly into fall now. Along with those changes, there have been changes in the RF as well. For your benefit as well as mine, I'll try to keep this short. Let's dive in, shall we?

Last month I appointed a new RFXO, Rear Admiral Matt "Stallion" Williams, who you all know by now. He's a great guy, so you can always contact him with questions.

Rear Admiral Kyle Tobarn resigned from the STC CO position this past month, and unfortunately I have not found a replacement for him yet. Please contact either my XO or myself if you are interested, the STC really needs a leader!

A new CO for the RS Player Association in Star Wars: Galaxies was also recently appointed. Big props to Major General Wes "Gizmo" Belden on his appointment. If you play SWG, email Giz so that you can meet up with us in game!

The RF Command Staff discussed the issue of publicity and recruitment for the various divisions in the RF. I have assisted the Deputy MoEA with writing a recruitment letter recently, and Colonel Randy Starkiller recently posted some nice ads on the bbs for Allegiance Wing. If you have any ideas on how to increase awareness about the RF's divisions, please contact my XO or myself.

Continuing the trend of new appointments, just this past week I appointed Colonel Randy Starkiller to be the new Allegiance Wing CO. Thanks go to Colonel Zak Ciredik for his efforts as the past AW CO, and we all wish Randy and the AW the best in the future!

Lastly in terms of news, I have the sad duty of reporting that we have lost an RF division. Kenobi Group, which was originally created to help other RS units with their fiction and storylines, has been shut down because of lack of a CO and lack of general interest in the division. Perhaps sometime in the future the ideas that were the motivating force behidn Kenobi will return to fruition.
